PLAITS 2025 means Privacy and Liberty in the Age of AI and Immersive Technologies. PLAITS 2025 was a Future Realities micro-think tank conference held at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland on June 16, 2025. The event brought together experts in AI, cybersecurity, neuroscience, human rights, policy, national security, affective computing, neurotechnology, and immersive media to address how emerging technologies affect privacy, liberty, autonomy, data rights, and human freedom.

What is PLAITS 2025?

PLAITS 2025 was an interdisciplinary conference for researchers, policymakers, technologists, advocates, business leaders, and civic stakeholders working on privacy, liberty, AI, neurotechnology, cybersecurity, human rights, and immersive technologies.
